  I went to Sky Dental PA in Atascocita, Texas for a crown in June 2017. They put a temporary crown on while I waited for the permanent crown to be replaced. A week later the crown came off and an assistant put the crown back on. I came in a few days later because my gum area near the crown was swollen, my glands were swollen, and I felt feverish. Dr. Flores, the dentist who first saw me was not in, but Dr. Abby Hussamy Kanj was there. She indicated that it must be something else, I needed to see my regular doctor. I further stated that only my gland on the same side of the crown and that gum area was swollen, so I did not think the issue was due to anything else besides the crown. She insisted that it was something else and suggested I buy from her a $20 bottle of mouth wash, which I did.
  
  A few days later, scared that I might have an abscess, because the area now had a bubble on it and was white and swollen, I went back to Sky Dental. Again Dr. Flores was not in the office. Dr. Abby Kanj took x-rays and found something that she said must have been popcorn, although I do not remember eating popcorn, and told her that. She said everything would be fine now that had taken the “popcorn” out.
  
  Still a few days later, I couldn’t chew on that side and was still in pain. I went back and luckily, Dr. Flores was there. She looked at it and immediately put me on antibiotics. Dr. Flores stated that cement from the crown placement had gotten under my gums--possibly when the assistant had put the temporary crown on when it fell off (I did not see a doctor that day. Of course, I had to pay for the medicine. After taking the prescribed medicine the swelling went down and my gums look normal.
  
  Eventually, Dr. Flores put on the permanent crown, but it came off a few weeks later. It is now October, and I still have the temporary on because the assistant said I should wait until the temporary falls off naturally before going back in for the permanent.
  
  I feel like Dr. Abby Kanj rushed me, didn’t believe what I was saying and did not care that my health was at risk.
